My Birthday!

So I have been really bad lately with taking pictures so I don't have any from my birthday but it was a good and sad birthday. I woke Wednesday morning to a phone call from my Sister Jamie telling me that my Aunt has been trying to get a hold of me all morning because my Great Grandpa(Papa) had passed away. He was 93 years old, and he was such an amazing man. He has been sick for the last 6 months and lately was getting worse and worse. We kind of knew it was coming but it still is so hard when you lose someone who you love so much.
My Papa was a WWII veteran and part of the Fireman's Convetion. Over the summer they had the annual Fireman's Convention here in Layton and they honored him with 70 years of dediciation. The longest lived Fireman. He was so kind and loving in every way. He loved his Golf game and that is one of my memories from when I was little, going to GG and Papa's house and Golf would be on the TV.
We loved going to see GG and Papa, it was always so much fun, whether we got to play pool in thier basement, play Skipbo, go swimming in the pool down at the club house, or go sledding. It was always so much fun! Oh and they always filled us with yummy food.
Well my GG passed away Jan 2001 and now they are reunited. I know that they had a wonderful Thanksgiving being together again with their son who died when he was only minutes old. That was one thing my Papa would always pray for, to see his son again. I am so grateful for eternal famlies and the knowledge that I have that we can all be together again some day. We will miss you Papa and love you so much. Thank you for everything you have taught us.

So the rest of my birthday was good. I went to work for a half day, went to lunch with my friends from work, Becky and Krista, we went to paradise bakery, it is so yummy! Then I went to see my Mom of course.
Then came home and Josh and I got ready to go out. We went to dinner at Olive Garden then we went and saw 4 Christmases. It is the funniest movie ever!!! Every one needs to see it this holiday season! It is so funny, I thought I was going to die laughing. You seriously laugh through pretty much the whole thing. Definately 5 stars in my book. Josh loved it too.
So that was my 26th birthday. It was a great day. I can't believe I am closer to 30..
