This year for the Johnstun family reunion we went to Flaming Gorge. This was my idea, and I was just barely pregnant when we started planning. I LOVE Flaming Gorge and thought let's go in June because I didn't want to go in August when I was 8 months pregnant. With the spring we have had this year we were getting a little worried about how cold it might be while we were there but it wasn't too bad. The water was freezing, 51 degrees on the surface. Josh said when he got in to ski that is was the coldest water he had ever been in. However, the kids LOVED it and never wanted to get out of the water.
The drive, we left Wednesday afternoon, stopped in Evanston to get some lunch and then headed onto the Gorge!
Once we arrived the kids were ready to play and eat. We had YUMMY hobo dinners that first night and smores. It wasn't extremely hot or cold just right.

We camped at Lucerne, it is right outside of Manila. We usually go to the Dutch John side so this was new to us. We loved it! I coudn't believe how nice the campsite was, there were bathrooms, showers, the water was right there so we could walk down to it and we had lots of visits from the Antelope and some bunny's.
The nights got pretty cold. Thursday morning, we woke up and it was pretty nice, a little chilly but nice. All the kids had gone on the boat that morning and then Robby took all the kids fishing and Josh took Tate. Around noon I was in the tent cleaning up putting things away and ran to the bathroom, in there for 3 minutes and came outside to a full blown storm! The wind was insane and the rain, hail, thunder, and lightening. I was thinking oh great! Finally after maybe a half hour of this maybe longer here comes Tate and Josh (and the Robby with the rest of the kids) soaking wet, was Tate mad or upset NOPE he had a smile from ear to ear. I wish I could have gotten a picture. It didn't bother him at all. He loves the out doors!
The storm lasted the rest of the night, luckily Steve and Chelese let us hang out in their tent trailer and we played cards late into the night. Then we retired to our tent and slept soundly!
I don't know what it is but there is something I love about camping and sleeping in out tent. Our air mattress is so comfortable, even for a woman who is 7 months pregant.
Hanging out around the campfire, STeve, Chelese and Ashton.
Josh and Tate snuggling in our tent.
We were in charge of breakfast on Friday morning and Josh and Steve took charge! It was the best breakfast! Bacon, eggs and pancakes!
All the Grandsons (minus sleeping Lucas) in Grandpa's boat. Tate and CJ never wanted to get out.
Tate in his cute swimming attire, shooting someone with his water gun. Friday was such a nice day, we all got a little too much sun but it was so fun to be able to play in the water. Tate loved it and never wanted to get out, I don't know how he did it because I thought it was freezing.

Friday night another small storm came through but it didn't last too long and it wasn't too bad.
Saturday morning, all the kids eating breakfast.
We had so much fun! I was sad to leave on satruday. But it was time for our fun to end. On the drive home we had two of the kids get sick and throw up and one of them was in our truck, we almost made it but it was right as we were getting off the exit. But other than that all the kids did great! It was so fun because everyone got along so well. I couldn't believe non of the kids got into fights! It was a great reunion and I can't wait for next years adventure!
