Last year was my first year of doing Black Friday, and I went with Josh, we went to South Towne mall at midnight, it was insane! Then headed to walmart for a camera, which we didn't get cause we got sick of waiting!
Well this year was much better!! I got up at 5am headed to Josh's parents house. Nancy, Kendra and I were off. We first headed to Target, we got there about 530am, they didn't open until 6am. The line was so long!! We went to the one in Layton, the line was wrapped all the way around the side of the building. Which is where we got in line at. Once the doors opened they let the people in line first. There was caution cones with tape blocking the people in the parking lot from crossing the street to rush the doors. However, there are always those rude people who think they can still cut in line. Which yes, cutting in line sounds immature, but when your standing outside in the freezing cold you deserve to go first before people who just pull up.
But we got inside, the goal: a dvd player for the car for Kendra and I needed two ipod radios and some dvd's. Kendra got hers, she is really tall, we told her where eletronics is she looked saw it, reached over the display and grabbed it from the back with only three left! Now it was my turn, we couldn't find the stereo's. Well finally I found the one, now just the other, and the DVD's.
Well we ended up getting it all. It was crazy in there though, I coudn't believe how rude some people were. We were in and out of Target in less than 30 minutes, no wait in lines or anything. I couldn't believe it. Now it was off to Home Depot, very easy went in got what we wanted and got out. Now the one place I really wanted to go was RC Willey, they had a piece table set for my living room for only $99. They didn't open until 8am, well 630 we got in line. We were one of the first 200 so we were able to get a $25 gift card.
I was so cold while waiting, my pants were long and dragged a little, well the ground was wet from the rain the night before and so i was soaked! Freezing!!! But I got my tables plus 2 lamps that were buy one get one free for only 120 bucks! It was totally worth!
We went some other places but this black friday was cake! I didn't dare go to walmart again, and well after some of the stories of people dying and getting trampled I think I will stick with Target, so much smoother!
HOpe you all had a great successful black friday!

we actually didn't go this year but I heard everywhere was insane. its kinda sad what people will do for a good deal, huh?!!
Sounds crazy!! You are a brave soul. I didn't attempt but your stories sound less crazy than Jessicas, but she went to walmart.
People didn't die, one person died. It's sad when Wal-Mart tries to provide really good deals for their customers and greedy people have to ruin the fun. The people didn't even care when Wal-Mart tried to close the store. They said they'd been standing in line forever and kept shopping. What have people become?
