Ebong and Ivory Gala 2010

On Saturday night Fresh Market presented a check for $20,000 to the U of U Burn Center. The check was presented at La Caille for the Ebony and Ivory Gala. I was one of 7 that was invited to go to the event. It was so much fun! First, I had never been to La Caille and it was absolutley beautiful! I loved the atmosphere. Very beautiful. I love the people I get to work with every day and spend so much time with when I am away from my family. They all are so much fun and I am so grateful to be apart of this wonderful company and such great leaders.
Then the purpose of the event, to help raise money for the Burn Center, that was amazing. It was so good to hear about all the success and what they do for the victims of fire at the burn center. There was a coupld sitting at our table and the wife and their son had been burned pretty bad from a propance explosion at a family reunion. Her story was amazing. It was a really good cause and it was so fun to get to be apart of it. Donna (Director of Customer Service), me, Troy (District Manager Utah North) Warren (Store Director in Draper)
Donna and I have become so close over the past few years we have worked together, I just love her so much! We have so much fun! She is always encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone and try new things. She has helped me in so many ways, I consider her not only one my dearest friends but a great mentor as well.

Don't we look like Sista's

So there were tons of dignitaries, and important people at this event but Jerry Sloan! I wanted so bad to ask for a picture but being this event I am sure he didn't want to be bothered with the "little people" bothering him. So I stood next to him and Tom took our picture. LOL I felt so embarressed after but oh well.
So there was a sillent auction and then there was a live auction while at dinner. It was amazing to me how much money people were just dropping, They did donation Auction, started at $10,000 two people did that one, a few more did the $5,000, then it continued to go down. Amazing, and then some of the other items. How would it be to be rich? and To be able to spend that kind of money and not even think about it, but it was for a good cause. And Fresh Market had the largest donation of the night.
